Halifax Camerata Singers – Looking for Great Singers!
Halifax Camerata Singers is currently holding auditions for all voice parts for the 2016-17 season (30th anniversary year!) for singers who have a solid vocal technique, good sight-reading skills and above average musical ability. The choir is under the direction of founding Artistic Director Jeff Joudrey, and forms the core of the Symphony Nova Scotia Chorus, who will be performing Handel’s Messiah in December, and a Remembrance Day-themed concert in November. Halifax Camerata Singers will also perform a concert in March commemorating the 100thanniversary of the Halifax Explosion, two concerts in May with the PEI vocal ensemble, Sirens, and a June tour to Edmonton as guests of ProCoro Canada to be part of the inaugural Edmonton International Choral Festival.
Halifax Camerata Singers is Atlantic Canada’s premier chamber choir, and rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings at First Baptist Church, with additional rehearsals as required.
