Women’s Choir Seeking New Artistic Director
Halifax-based women’s choir The Aeolian Singers is seeking a new artistic director! They’ve forwarded us the following:
The Aeolian Singers is a 35 member, women’s treble choir in Halifax, NS, in its 40thseason. We rehearse weekly on Monday evenings, and perform four to five concerts between September and May, We perform varied repertoire from classical to pop and have a history of successful concerts, recordings, partnerships, and new music commissions. We are a non-profit, registered charity, overseen by a volunteer executive drawn from choir members.
We are seeking a new Artistic Director as of June 2016 who will lead us in our next phase of growth by providing overall artistic supervision of all aspects of the choir from leading rehearsals and concerts, to selecting repertoire, choosing soloists and overseeing our accompanist, Assistant Director and guest musicians. You will work in consultation with the Choir Executive, be the public face of the choir, and inspire and challenge us with the interesting and varied repertoire that you select.
